RE:PLAY: A Nostalgic Art Exhibition Celebrating Recycling, Art and Technology. Our hosted shelter pavilion space was transformed into a vibrant scene via the infusion of painted recycled playground equipment, with interactive installations scattered throughout such as spring riders, a slide decking platform, canvases and even a robotic arm! The colour scheme used on these playground objects is based on the Paddlepop rainbow ice-cream which filled the long summer days of artists’ childhoods. The co-creation artists have hand-painted small images on the slide which, upon scanning using a phone camera, come to life in Augmented Reality (AR) animations. Beyond this, we have also made an effort to push the boundaries of creative expression and this was done by marrying traditional artform to technology, a robotic arm named Tessa created art seamlessly by synchronising its brush strokes to the rhythm of live beatboxing performed by the renowned beatbox battle champion, Dharni. Overall, we are appreciative to have the fullest support from our Co-creation artists, with key sponsors from Arc community, Mandala Club as well as National Youth Council (NYC) for providing The Red Box’s pavilion sheltered space located at Sommerset.

LIAS Awards Gala Dinner 2022 was a showcase hosted by Landscape Industry Association of Singapore in an attempt to celebrate the award winning achievements of all the respective leaders in our industry. With our representative involvement in the LIAS’s 11th council (2021-2023), we are fortunate to be able to support and immerse ourselves in this annual industry’s led event. Through this event, we have receive inspirations from the award winners ranging from landscaping designs for residential category all the way till playground design projects. Moving forward, we hope that through our focus on customised design playground projects, we will one day be recognised for our effort in innovation while focusing on safety compliance matters consistently, to provide assurance for both the public and private playscape.

Initiating Ties: USA Principal Playpower-Little Tikes Commercial’s Collaboration Visit

On 20th January 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting our representative, USA’s leading playground equipment manufacturer Playpower – Little Tikes Commercial, that marked a significant step in our partnership.

Andreas Paaske, Playpower’s General Manager for the Middle East and Singapore, provided us with updates and possible angles for collaboration to enhance our market and brand awareness. With his extensive experience in the playscape industry, having work previously for Big Supplier brand such as Kompan during the early 2000s (2005-2009) and now in Playpower for at least 10 years for their commercial growth, leading then as the Vice-President, as well as his current newest calling for expansion in the Middle east as the General Manager (GM) of Playpower, we are fortunate to have convince him of the value we can potentially bring to the table.

During the short visit, we shared more about our past innovative and collaborative efforts in enhancing the playscape environment which we touch based with, through interesting custom features and refreshing angles that excites kids whenever they visit the created playscape done proudly by Parklab.

As we embrace this partnership, we are excited about the potential to influence outdoor play and fitness culture in Singapore. By leveraging on certain Playpower’s cutting-edge technology and our local market insights, we are set to redefine the standard for playgrounds and outdoor fitness equipment.

Together, we hope to do so much more for kids and families in singapore’s context, with a committed vision to fostering innovative play environments that inspire movement, creativity, and community engagement.

As Little Tikes Commercial’s mission clearly states so, to create fun, exciting, inclusive playscape that instantly engage imagination, we strive to align our mission and eventually bring greater joy to the families out there by understanding the importance of imaginative play for kids.

We look forward to the exciting developments that this collaboration will bring to the landscape of outdoor play in Singapore, with inclusive design partnerships that will also help to push for greater holistic play experience to kids regardless of their background or abilities.

That is how we are going to do it one step at a time, and all we seek for is to allow stakeholders to see the potential value we can bring to them, to convey and convince others the need to pay attention to the playscape design out there and how kids’ developmental progress can be accelerated through the purposefully built playgrounds in Singapore.
