Playground Installation at Dover Court International School: An Outdoor Challenging Nature-Themed Play Area by Parklab

Dover Court International School’s newly extended school building (Blk H) now features a cutting-edge playground designed by Parklab, transforming the outdoor area into an exciting and challenging nature-themed play environment. This state-of-the-art playground is tailored to inspire exploration and physical development among students while integrating seamlessly with the school’s extended facilities.

  • Straight slide: A traditional slide with a straight path from the top to the bottom. Children climb up to a platform and slide down, enjoying a simple and fun activity that’s a staple in most playgrounds.
  • Inclined ladder: A ladder that is positioned at an angle (rather than vertically), allowing children to climb up or down. This type of ladder is often easier to climb than a vertical one and helps children build balance, coordination, and physical strength.
  • Bridge crossing: A structure that lets children walk or crawl from one part of the playground to another, mimicking a bridge. It can be a flat or slightly arched bridge, and it helps improve balance and coordination while adding an element of adventure to the playground.
  • Net crawler: A structure made of nets or ropes that children can crawl through. Unlike a net climber, which is more vertical, a net crawler is usually horizontal or angled, creating a tunnel-like experience. This element encourages children to develop coordination, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills as they navigate through the net.

The focus is on creating an adventurous and immersive outdoor play area that blends natural elements with dynamic play structures. The goal is to foster creativity, physical fitness, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world amidst the High rise Skyscrapers and HDB buildings seen in singapore.
